Vision

With the goal of improving the quality of life for children, youth, and adults in the Argentine Misiones rainforest, we created FLOR DE VIDA, a project focused on the preservation and care of the rainforest, ecology, art, education, and social work.

Based in El Soberbio, Misiones.

Protecting the rainforest is protecting life. Thousands of living beings live there.

Animals, plants, and insects coexist in harmony. We live there to care for them and contemplate their beauty.

Preservation

Why is the rainforest in danger?

The livelihood of many residents of the El Soberbio region in Misiones is through tobacco monoculture. To achieve this, large areas of land are set on fire each year, deforesting the forest at a rapid pace.

In addition, tobacco is sprayed with glyphosate, contaminating the groundwater and nearby rivers.

This chemical has been banned for many years in several countries in Europe and the Americas.

Needless to say, deforestation also creates significant flooding and even drought problems.

In 2023, we will purchase 5 hectares of Argentine Misiones rainforest, of which 2.5 hectares are native forest.

We have set aside the remaining land for regeneration and cultivation, as it was previously used for tobacco cultivation.

Spontaneously, over the past five years, more and more environmentalist neighbors have been arriving in the area, joining the initiative to protect the rainforest.

Today, more than 120 hectares are protected in the San Ignacio area, El Soberbio, Misiones.
